Understanding the functionality of the SKU property and preventing workflow errors.
With the Add Line Item to Deal app, you have the ability to effortlessly add line items to a deal using workflows, as well as make bulk updates to line items, even after the deal has been created
Including the product's SKU when using the Add Line Item to Deal app provides you with the flexibility to easily identify and associate specific products with your deals.
While this field is not mandatory, entering a SKU that matches an existing product in your library is essential for the successful addition of the line item to your deal.
In such a case where the SKU value entered does not match any existing product in HubSpot, the automation process will not be able to proceed, resulting in the line item not being linked to your deal.
This situation only arises when a SKU value is entered.
Please note that if you do not enter a SKU, a new line item will be created that is not associated with any specific product.
On the other hand, if the SKU value matches a SKU in the product library, the line item will automatically inherit the Name, Description, and Line item price from the product.
However, if you choose to specify different values for Name, Description, or Line item price, these customized values will override the information from the product in the line item. This flexibility allows you to tailor the line item details according to your specific requirements.
